IMF Series 'Wide-Rejection' Planar Filters
Improve signal clarity and integrity with IMF Series planar low pass filters. IMS develops these filters for operation in the high UHF, L-, C- and S-band allocations with various levels of rejection and cutoff frequencies. Up to 5th harmonic rejection is feasible with unique designs.

Why use IMF Series? Planar vs. Multilayer
Typical Multilayer Frequency Response
Typical Planar Frequency Response
  • IMF Series' frequency response is true low pass as opposed to a multilayer filter's notch response (see left). This true low pass response provides significant rejection to beyond the 3th harmonic.
  • IMF Series' planar design is made using IMS' thick film process, which results in high part-to-part performance repeatibility and low insertion loss, not seen in multilayer devices.
  • IMF Series' thick film architecture allows much higher levels of input power handling. Most IMF Series filters handle at least 20W input power.
  • IMS offers both the standard 'off-the-shelf' filters shown below and custom designs. IMS' design capabilities allow us to customize a filter to your parameters. Tell us your passband edge, rejection requirements and expected loss and we will make the perfect filter for you.
