High Power AlN Chip
Optimize power handling with N-Series resistors on Aluminum Nitride, a safe alternative to BeO. Numerous terminal styles and substrate thicknesses are available to assist thermal management.
Proper thermal management is required in order to acheive optimal performance of these parts. Power capacities of N Series resistive products are based primarily on thermal conduction (from the resistive film down through the substrate and to the customer's thermal groundplane). Thickness Options
- IMS offers AlN Resistors on 0.015", 0.025" and 0.040" substrates.
- Thinner substrates allow for a higher rated power because there is less substrate material for heat to pass through.
